By accessing this website, purchasing a license, requesting consulting or training services, downloading materials, or otherwise using our products or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website or purchase our products or services.

1. About MyacademicIntegrity.com

MyacademicIntegrity.com provides educational content, training, and consulting services related to academic integrity, ethical decision-making, artificial intelligence in education, student learning, faculty and staff development, institutional policies, and related educational topics.

Our products and services may include:

  • Free Academic Integrity Training videos made available through YouTube or other platforms
  • Lifetime institutional licenses permitting authorized organizations to host designated video modules within their Learning Management Systems
  • Assessment materials, including exam questions and answer keys

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By using MyacademicIntegrity.com, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.

When you purchase a license or request services on behalf of a school, college, university, school district, company, nonprofit organization, government agency, or other institution, you represent that you have the authority to accept these terms on behalf of that organization.

References to “you” and “your” in these terms include both the individual using the website and any institution or organization that the individual represents.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into an agreement to purchase products or services from MyacademicIntegrity.com.

Individuals under the age of 18 may access publicly available educational content only with the involvement or permission of a parent, legal guardian, teacher, or educational institution, as appropriate.

4. Permitted Website Use

You may use MyacademicIntegrity.com only for lawful educational, informational, professional, and institutional purposes.

You agree not to:

  • Use the website in violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, its systems, restricted files, or administrative areas

Accessing the website, viewing free videos, or purchasing a license does not transfer ownership of the materials to the user or purchasing institution. Users receive only the limited rights specifically granted under these Terms of Service or a separate written agreement.

6. Free Academic Integrity Training Content

Certain Academic Integrity Training videos may be made available free of charge through YouTube or another third-party platform.

Free access permits users to view the videos through the authorized platform. Free access does not grant permission to:

  • Download the videos
  • Upload the videos to an institutional Learning Management System
  • Upload the videos to another website or platform
  • Copy or redistribute the video files
  • Sell or sublicense the videos
  • Edit or modify the videos
  • Remove ownership, copyright, branding, or attribution notices
  • Present the videos as the work of another individual or institution
  • Incorporate downloaded copies into a paid course or commercial product

Schools, colleges, universities, and other organizations that wish to host the videos directly within their own Learning Management Systems must purchase the applicable institutional license.

Viewing content through YouTube or another third-party platform may also be governed by that platform’s own terms of service and privacy policies.

7. Institutional Learning Management System License

MyacademicIntegrity.com offers institutions the option to purchase a lifetime license to host the designated Academic Integrity Training video modules within an institutionally controlled Learning Management System.

The standard license includes:

  • The complete collection of licensed Academic Integrity Training video modules available at the time of purchase
  • Exam questions associated with the training
  • A corresponding answer key for authorized instructors or administrators

The standard cost of the lifetime institutional license is a one-time payment of $500.00, unless a different price is stated in a written proposal, invoice, or agreement.

Unless otherwise confirmed in writing, the license is:

  • Non-exclusive
  • Non-transferable
  • Limited to the purchasing institution
  • Limited to internal educational use
  • Limited to the materials provided at the time of purchase

The license does not transfer ownership of the videos, assessments, or other materials to the purchasing institution.

8. Meaning of a Lifetime License

For purposes of these terms, a “lifetime license” means that the purchasing institution may continue using the version of the licensed materials delivered at the time of purchase for as long as the institution complies with these terms.

The lifetime license does not expire and does not require an annual renewal fee.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, the license does not automatically include:

  • Future course revisions
  • Newly developed video modules
  • New assessment questions
  • Updated answer keys
  • Replacement files
  • Course customization
  • Learning Management System administration
  • Technical integration services
  • Ongoing technical support
  • Faculty or staff training
  • Consulting services
  • Compatibility updates for future technologies or Learning Management Systems

Future updates, additional modules, customization, technical support, or consulting services may be offered separately.

The lifetime license may be suspended or terminated if the institution materially violates these terms, including through unauthorized distribution, resale, publication, transfer, or sharing of licensed materials.

9. Authorized Institutional Use

A licensed institution may:

  • Upload the licensed videos to its own secure Learning Management System
  • Make the videos available to authorized students, faculty, staff, or institutional participants
  • Incorporate the videos into courses, orientation programs, faculty development programs, student success initiatives, or academic integrity programs
  • Administer the provided assessment to authorized learners
  • Use the answer key for grading, instructional, or administrative purposes
  • Track learner participation, progress, and completion through the institution’s own systems

Unless specifically authorized in writing, the licensed institution may not:

  • Resell the materials
  • Sublicense the materials
  • Transfer the license to another institution
  • Share the video files with another school, college, university, company, or organization
  • Upload the videos to a publicly accessible website
  • Post the licensed videos on YouTube, Vimeo, social media, or another public platform
  • Make the assessment questions publicly available
  • Make the answer key available to learners or unauthorized individuals
  • Remove copyright, ownership, attribution, or branding notices
  • Claim ownership or authorship of the materials
  • Modify the materials in a way that misrepresents their meaning, content, or source
  • Use the materials to develop or sell a competing commercial product
  • Use one institutional license across separately administered institutions without written permission

A school district, university system, college system, or organization with multiple separately administered campuses or institutions should obtain written confirmation regarding the scope of its license.

10. Assessment Materials and Answer Keys

Exam questions, answer keys, and related assessment materials are confidential instructional resources.

Licensed institutions agree to take reasonable measures to protect these materials from unauthorized access, disclosure, reproduction, or distribution.

Access to answer keys should be limited to:

  • Instructors
  • Faculty members
  • Course administrators
  • Academic integrity personnel
  • Learning Management System administrators
  • Other authorized employees who require access for legitimate educational purposes

Assessment materials may not be:

  • Posted on a public website
  • Shared with unauthorized individuals
  • Distributed to learners before an assessment
  • Uploaded to public study-resource websites
  • Sold or commercially redistributed
  • Shared with institutions that have not purchased a license
  • Used to misrepresent learner participation, achievement, or course completion

MyacademicIntegrity.com is not responsible for compromises to assessment security that occur after the materials have been delivered to the purchasing institution.

11. Delivery of Licensed Materials

Licensed materials will generally be delivered electronically using the method identified at the time of purchase or in subsequent communication with the purchasing institution.

The institution is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate contact information
  • Providing accurate billing information
  • Maintaining an appropriate Learning Management System
  • Confirming that its system supports the file formats provided
  • Uploading and configuring the materials
  • Establishing appropriate learner access
  • Administering the assessment
  • Grading or recording assessment results
  • Tracking learner participation and completion
  • Protecting restricted materials
  • Providing technical assistance to its own learners
  • Maintaining the security of its Learning Management System

Unless separately agreed in writing, the $500.00 license fee does not include:

  • Learning Management System installation
  • Course setup
  • Technical integration
  • Instructional design services
  • Course customization
  • Learner enrollment
  • Technical troubleshooting
  • Reporting services
  • Ongoing administrative support

12. Consulting and Training Services

MyacademicIntegrity.com may provide consulting, workshops, presentations, webinars, policy support, customized training, and professional development services.

The specific scope of a consulting or training engagement may be described in a:

  • Proposal
  • Statement of work
  • Invoice
  • Engagement letter
  • Service agreement
  • Written email confirmation
  • Other written agreement

Services may be delivered:

  • In person
  • Virtually
  • Through live webinars
  • Through recorded presentations
  • Through a combination of delivery methods

The client agrees to provide the information, access, personnel, technology, facilities, and cooperation reasonably necessary to complete the agreed-upon services.

Unless expressly stated in writing, consulting and training services do not include:

  • Legal representation
  • Formal legal opinions
  • Investigation of individual academic misconduct allegations
  • Adjudication of student or employee cases
  • Representation during disciplinary proceedings
  • Guaranteed regulatory compliance
  • Guaranteed prevention of academic misconduct
  • Guaranteed identification of unauthorized artificial intelligence use
  • Guaranteed academic, institutional, or learner outcomes

Recommendations provided through consulting and training are educational and consultative in nature.

Each institution remains responsible for its own policies, procedures, investigations, disciplinary decisions, academic decisions, and legal obligations.

13. Artificial Intelligence and Academic Integrity

Information provided by MyacademicIntegrity.com concerning artificial intelligence, generative AI, plagiarism detection, authorship detection, or academic misconduct detection is intended for educational purposes.

Artificial intelligence technologies and detection tools are evolving, and no tool should be understood as perfectly accurate, reliable, or conclusive in every situation.

MyacademicIntegrity.com does not guarantee that any policy, strategy, training, software tool, or instructional practice will:

  • Prevent all forms of academic misconduct
  • Detect every instance of unauthorized AI use
  • Accurately identify the authorship of every assignment
  • Eliminate false positive or false negative results
  • Resolve every institutional policy question
  • Produce a particular academic or disciplinary outcome

Institutions are responsible for determining how technology-generated information will be interpreted and used within their own academic integrity procedures.

Institutions should apply their own policies, professional judgment, review procedures, and due-process requirements when addressing individual cases.

14. Educational Responsibility

Academic integrity policies, artificial intelligence policies, disciplinary procedures, and educational practices vary among institutions and jurisdictions.

Each institution using our products or services is responsible for:

  • Reviewing the materials for suitability
  • Determining whether the materials meet institutional needs
  • Adapting implementation to its educational environment
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Consulting legal counsel when appropriate
  • Communicating policies and expectations to learners
  • Providing appropriate notice to students, faculty, and staff
  • Making individual academic and disciplinary decisions
  • Protecting student and employee information
  • Providing reasonable accommodations
  • Ensuring accessibility within its own technology environment
  • Training personnel responsible for applying institutional policies

Use of our materials does not guarantee any particular academic, disciplinary, administrative, legal, or organizational result.

15. Fees and Payment

Prices for products and services will be stated on MyacademicIntegrity.com, an invoice, a proposal, or another written agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • The standard lifetime institutional license is $500.00
  • Payment is due according to the terms stated on the applicable invoice
  • The purchaser is responsible for providing accurate billing information
  • Applicable taxes or payment-processing charges may be added where required
  • Licensed materials may be withheld until payment has been received
  • Consulting or training services may be withheld or postponed until required payment has been received
  • Late or unpaid balances may result in suspension of services

A purchase is not considered complete until payment has been successfully processed or another payment arrangement has been approved in writing.

16. Refund Policy

Because licensed videos, exam questions, and answer keys are digital materials that cannot be returned after delivery, institutional license payments are generally nonrefundable once the files or access instructions have been delivered.

A refund may be considered when:

  • A payment was processed more than once for the same purchase
  • The incorrect product was delivered
  • MyacademicIntegrity.com is unable to deliver the purchased materials
  • A refund is required by applicable law
  • Another exception is approved in writing

A change in an institution’s plans, technology, staffing, enrollment, course structure, or Learning Management System does not automatically qualify the institution for a refund.

Refunds for consulting, workshops, presentations, or training services will be governed by the applicable proposal, invoice, cancellation policy, or written agreement.

17. Scheduling, Rescheduling, and Cancellation

Training and consulting dates are not confirmed until they have been accepted in writing by both MyacademicIntegrity.com and the client.

Client-requested changes may be subject to availability and may result in additional charges, particularly when preparation, travel, venue, subcontractor, or nonrefundable expenses have already been incurred.

Cancellation and rescheduling requirements for a particular engagement may be stated in the applicable proposal, invoice, or written agreement.

MyacademicIntegrity.com may reschedule a service because of:

  • Illness
  • Emergencies
  • Unsafe conditions
  • Technology failures
  • Travel disruptions
  • Severe weather
  • Events beyond reasonable control

When reasonably possible, MyacademicIntegrity.com will work with the client to identify an alternative date or delivery arrangement.

18. Client-Provided Materials

A client may provide institutional policies, procedures, data, documents, branding, case examples, or other materials as part of a consulting or training engagement.

By providing these materials, the client represents that it has the right and authority to provide them and authorize their use for the engagement.

The client retains ownership of its preexisting materials.

Unless otherwise agreed, MyacademicIntegrity.com may use client-provided materials only as reasonably necessary to perform the requested services.

Clients should not submit confidential, personally identifiable, student-specific, employee-specific, or legally protected information through unsecured website forms or ordinary email unless appropriate safeguards have been established.

19. Customized Deliverables

Ownership and permitted use of customized training or consulting deliverables may be described in the applicable written agreement.

Unless that agreement expressly states otherwise:

  • The client retains ownership of its preexisting institutional content
  • MyacademicIntegrity.com retains ownership of its preexisting videos, frameworks, templates, methods, assessments, training materials, and intellectual property
  • The client receives permission to use the final customized deliverables for its internal institutional purposes
  • Neither party acquires ownership of the other party’s preexisting intellectual property

Broader rights to reproduce, publish, sell, license, distribute, or publicly share customized materials must be granted in writing.

20. No Legal Advice

The content, products, and services provided through MyacademicIntegrity.com are intended to support education, professional development, policy discussion, and institutional decision-making.

Nothing provided through the website, training materials, licensed videos, assessments, consulting services, workshops, or communications constitutes legal advice.

Use of MyacademicIntegrity.com does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Institutions should consult qualified legal counsel regarding:

Institutions hosting licensed materials within their own systems are independently responsible for their collection, storage, processing, protection, and use of student, faculty, staff, and user information.

24. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyacademicIntegrity.com, its website, educational content, licensed materials, assessments, and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

MyacademicIntegrity.com does not make express or implied warranties concerning:

  • Uninterrupted website availability
  • Error-free website operation
  • Compatibility with every Learning Management System
  • Compatibility with every device or software platform
  • Achievement of a particular educational outcome
  • Prevention of academic misconduct

Nothing in this section excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.

25. Limitation of Liability

26. Indemnification

27. Suspension or Termination of Access

MyacademicIntegrity.com may suspend or terminate access to products, services, or licensed materials when:

  • Payment remains outstanding
  • Materials are used outside the permitted license
  • Assessment materials or answer keys are publicly disclosed
  • A license is transferred or sublicensed without authorization
  • Intellectual property rights are violated
  • The website or services are used unlawfully
  • A material provision of these terms is violated

When reasonably appropriate, MyacademicIntegrity.com may provide notice and an opportunity to correct the violation before termination.

Serious, intentional, or repeated violations may result in immediate termination.

Termination does not eliminate existing payment obligations or provisions intended to remain in effect, including provisions concerning intellectual property, confidentiality, disclaimers, liability, and dispute resolution.

28. Changes to the Website and Services

MyacademicIntegrity.com may modify, update, suspend, replace, or discontinue portions of the website, its content, or its services.

We may also revise these Terms of Service periodically.

Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Changes will generally apply prospectively. Material changes will not retroactively eliminate rights already granted under an existing paid license or signed service agreement, except where necessary to comply with applicable law or address a material violation.

29. Governing Law

These Terms of Service will be governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any legal action arising from these terms, use of MyacademicIntegrity.com, or purchase of a product or service will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in New York County, New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Each party consents to the jurisdiction of those courts.

30. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the greatest extent permitted by law.

The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

31. No Waiver

A failure by MyacademicIntegrity.com to enforce any provision of these terms does not waive the right to enforce that provision or another provision in the future.

32. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable proposal, invoice, license agreement, statement of work, or other written agreement constitute the agreement between you and MyacademicIntegrity.com concerning the applicable website use, product, or service.

When a separate signed written agreement conflicts with these general Terms of Service, the signed agreement will control with respect to that particular engagement.

33. Assignment

You may not transfer or assign your rights under these terms or an institutional license without prior written permission from MyacademicIntegrity.com.

MyacademicIntegrity.com may assign its rights and obligations as part of a business reorganization, merger, acquisition, asset transfer, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
